Description:

NECA-413 is a new National Electrical Installation Standard titled “Standard for Installing and Maintaining Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment.” Electric vehicle manufacturing has been accelerated as part of the global effort to employ alternative energy sources and reduce dependency on foreign oil. There are many facets of supporting the deployment of electric vehicles and its required charging infrastructure. This presentation provides a review of essential installation requirements that deal with not only safety, but performance and quality.  This program provides valuable insight into effective site assessments and providing customers with Code-compliant installations of electric vehicle supply equipment in residential and commercial occupancies. Attendees receive a copy of the standard.

Speaker Bio:

Gregory W. Massey, P.E. attended the University of Missouri, Columbia, where he received Bachelor's and Master's of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering.  Mr. Massey is a consulting engineer with 20 years of design and project management experience.  Mr. Massey is the author of over 40 publications, including "Essentials of Distributed Generation," Jones and Bartlett Publishers, and is the lead author for several National Electrical Installation Standards published by NECA.  Mr. Massey is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Missouri.

Please note that every state handles licensure and continuing education credits differently. To avoid confusion, NECA strongly recommends you check with your state authority whether they will grant these CEUs for management education programs held at NECA 2012 Las Vegas.
